These are premier experiential learning programs for teaching students how government works while developing leaderships skills and an appreciation for citizen rights. As a participant in the program students will run for office, learn public speaking, create and enforce laws, and actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working government.  

    Students must be rising seniors, in the top 25% of their class, and be available to participate June 19-25.

    Applications are now available in the Counseling Center, and the deadline for submission is March 14th

    In order to process the application for a parking permit, the student must submit the following documents:
    • a valid driver's license
    • a copy of the registration of the vehicle that will be driven to school daily
    • a completed application with the student's and parent's/guardian's signatures
    Parking permits will cost $80.00 for the 2015-2016 school year, $40.00 if submitted at anytime during the 3rd marking period, and $20.00 if submitted at anytime during the last marking period.
    Note: Permits may not be purchased or issued to any student who owes a debt at school. All debts must be cleared before this application will be accepted.

    New time & location - Tonight's scheduled Chancellor High / Courtland High Boys Basketball game will take place at Spotsylvania Middle School on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 5 p.m.

    Should power not be restored by tomorrow, we will send out another communication regarding the venue for the boys basketball games.


    All Schools (except ChHS & CMS) will distribute Report Cards on Friday, February 5, 2016.  Chancellor High & Chancellor Middle Schools will distribute report cards on Monday, February 8, 2016.

    Spotsylvania County Public Schools are canceling 1st semester exams as a result of the inclement weather.  Student grades for the semester will be calculated using the grades from the 1st and 2nd 9-week marking periods.  
    Please note, although exams are canceled teachers may still utilize the assessment as a non-graded means of determining student growth.  Additionally, a student may solicit the opportunity to take the exam should he/she choose to do so in an attempt to improve their grade.  Any student wanting to take the exam will need to coordinate a suitable time with their teacher by February 5, 2016.  


    The SAT scheduled for Saturday, January 23 at Massaponax High School has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 20 at Massaponax High School.  Please note: the test administered will be the old version of the SAT.


    The Make-up Day for January 25, 2016 will be on February 15, 2016.  It will be an "A" day for middle and high schools.
